About Yetter’s Junk Removal

Our business didn’t start with a business plan, it started with a desire to be more present.

Yetter’s Junk Removal began in 2021 while Mat was still working at the shipyard. The long hours were keeping him from time with family and the community he loved. What began as a small side hustle quickly became something bigger: a way to build a business that not only served others but also brought our family closer together.

We’re a locally owned, family-operated crew based in Port Orchard, Washington. You’ll often see our kids tagging along —learning about hard work, showing up for people, and giving back. From day one, this business has been about connection: with our community, our family, and the folks we serve.

And we’ve learned that junk removal is more than just hauling stuff away. It’s about helping people reclaim space, reduce stress, and do it in a responsible way. Whether we’re donating items to local charities, recycling what we can, or simply being a helping hand when someone’s overwhelmed. We’re here for the people behind the piles.

Because sure, it may be junk, but it’s also a fresh start. And it’s always Better with Yetter.

Get to Know Us

When we’re not hauling junk, you’ll probably find us loading up the camper or hitting the road for a family adventure. We love camping, exploring new places, and spending as much time together as we can.

Community is at the heart of everything we do. Whether we’re volunteering, supporting local businesses, or just showing up to cheer on our neighbors, we believe in giving back.

One of our proudest moments? Helping bring Samson Fest to life—a family-friendly fitness and community event that united local gyms, vendors, first responders, and families for a full day of movement, music, and connection. The first year’s event raised funds for The Coffee Oasis to support homeless youth in our area. And we’re thrilled to say it’s back for Year Two, bigger and better than ever, supporting South Kitsap’s Backpack for kids! It’s events like these that remind us why we do what we do—serve, connect, and uplift our community.

Junk removal may be our job, but it’s the people who are our why. We’re here to serve Kitsap with purpose, heart, and a whole lot of hustle.

Behind the Junk
Real Talk with the Yetters

You’ve seen the truck and maybe waved as we rolled by, but here’s a little peek behind the scenes.

  • Let’s just say... if it exists, we’ve probably hauled it. From a broken-down boat in someone’s backyard to a life-sized statue—we’ve seen it all. Junk removal gets weird (in the best way).

  • Oh, plenty. There’s never a dull moment. You learn to laugh, roll with it, and keep the truck moving. Honestly, half the fun of this job is never knowing what story you’re going to come home with.

  • Honestly? The people. Every day we meet someone new, and everyone’s got a story. It’s those connections that make this job way more than just hauling stuff. It’s a privilege to be invited into people’s lives, even for a short time, and we don’t take that lightly.
